New Feature: Instantly Create Meetings in a Recurring Series

Apr 17, 2010 in New Features

MeetingMix automatically creates the next meeting in your recurring series. We’ve just added a feature that gives you more control over this process. You can now create a future meeting right when you need it, without having to wait for MeetingMix to automatically create it.

This feature is completely optional. We’ll continue to automatically create the next meeting in your recurring series, but if you’d like to have the next 2 or 3 meetings handy, you can use this feature to create those too.

How does this work?

On the right side of your “All Meetings” page there’s a list of your recurring series. Click the series that you want to create a future meeting for:

List of Your Meetings

At the top of this page there’s a list of upcoming meetings in this series:

Create a Future Meeting

In this example, the meeting on April 30 hasn’t been created yet, and we’ll automatically create it for you on April 24. If you need that meeting right now though, just click the “create it now” link.

This instantly creates the meeting for you. Since this meeting is tied to all the other meetings in this series, you can do things like import topics from past meetings in the series.

Feature Update: Add Time Estimates for Agenda Topics

Apr 13, 2010 in New Features

A couple months ago we added time estimates for agenda topics. After you wrote your agenda you could go to a separate page and add time estimates for your topics.

We’ve updated this feature to make this process easier. You can now add time estimates as you write topics, without having to visit a separate page.

How does this work?

The form where you add an agenda topic has a new “Length” field:

New Topic Form with Time Estimate

Enter the number of minutes that you want to allot for this topic, or leave it at 0 if you don’t want to add a time estimate.

After you’ve added a time estimate, your meeting’s total time shows up at the top of the agenda:

Total Meeting Time

Click the “edit” link if you prefer the previous method of adding time estimates. This will take you to a separate page where you can add and edit all your time estimates at once.

New Feature: Add Due Dates for Action Items

Apr 8, 2010 in New Features

We’ve updated the action items so you can write an optional due date.

How does this work?

The form where you add an action item has a new “Optional due date” field:

Add Action Item Form

You can type in the date there, or you can click the calendar icon to select a date. Leave the due date field blank if you don’t want to include a due date.

When you save your action item the due date shows up next to the assigned person’s name:

New Feature: Search Across All Your Meetings

Apr 4, 2010 in New Features

We’ve added search to MeetingMix to help you find information in past meetings. We’ll search through all your topics, minutes, action items, and other meeting information to find the meetings that contain your search term.

How does this work?

There’s a search bar at the top of your “All Meetings” page. Just enter the word or phrase that you’re searching for and click “Go”:

Search Bar

We’ll search through your account for every meeting that contains your search term:

Search Results

Underneath each meeting are text snippets that contain your search term. This lets you review everything in the meeting that matched your search, like agenda topics and minutes, all from one page.

New All Meetings Page

Mar 29, 2010 in New Features

We’ve reorganized the “All Meetings” page to make it easier to find past meetings.

Your recurring meetings are grouped together

We’ve put a list of filters on the right side of the page. Instead of looking at all your meetings, you can look at only the meetings for a particular recurring series:

List of Meetings

In this example we’re just looking at meetings in the recurring series “Weekly Team Mtg.”

Past meetings are organized by date

We’ve grouped your past meetings based on when they occurred. You can look at meetings that took place less than 2 weeks ago, less than 1 month ago, or more than 1 month ago:

List of Past Meetings

These groupings make it easier to find meetings that took place recently.

Peek at agendas from the “All Meetings” page

When you move your mouse over a meeting, a “Show Agenda” link appears on the right side. Click that link to see what the agenda was:

Show Meeting Agenda

This helps you quickly preview meetings from one page when you’re looking for a specific meeting.
